The color of the year 2023 will influence fashion, art, design, cinema, technology and beauty for the next twelve months. We had discussed it months ago, launching what we thought could have been the candidates (and that among other things continue to sell like requests).

The American company has chosen, to everyone’s surprise, a magenta shade as the color of the year 2023: it is called Viva Magenta 18-1750.

It is described as «an unconventional red for an unconventional time». The Viva Magenta 18-1750 by Pantone is a «shade of gradient crimson red that presents a balance between warm and cold».
«It’s decided but not aggressive: we call it a fist in a velvet glove», said Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute.

According to the company, the color chosen for 2023 «projects dynamism» and its «exuberance» promotes joy and optimism. At least this is the color chosen by Pantone, theoretically, we will see later in the year if it will be popular and will meet expectations.
